Nandini Pathak, recently conducted a single-credit elective course, “Private Fund Formation 101,” at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) from 29-31 August 2025.

The 15-hour program developed into a highly engaging and insightful exchange with students. Nandini guided them through complex subjects such as the significance of the catch-up step in a distribution waterfall and a comparative discussion on SEBI’s regulatory framework vis-à-vis global standards. The course also included an interactive mock negotiation, where students assumed the roles of LP and GP counsels to negotiate default provisions. In addition, the sessions addressed the nuances of equalization mechanics, providing students with a practical understanding of these technical aspects.
